Murphy's law
we were walkin through our favourite streets of our area(me and my friend), wen she suddenly exclaimed "hey murphy's law works!".. wenevr she talks about a new topic, she wants me to look for it by myself instead of asking her "hey apdina enna di??". but this time she explained me with an example.. here it goes --> "murphy's law na.. for example bread-a mela thooki potta butter erukara side dhan tharai-la vilum.. i mean anythin that u feel should not happen will happen.."
then she added "i also applied murphy's law to murphy's law, that is if u feel murphy's law is gonna workout it wil not.."
then enaku enamo aniku enthu vandhu google-la poi parthen.. these were some common difinitions i saw there..
1. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.(i saw this in almost all the sites).
2. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong.
3.If there's more than one way to do a job, and one of those ways will result in disaster, then somebody will do it that way.
4. When a broken appliance is demonstrated for the repairman, it will work perfectly. (naraya bulb vaangiruken endha vishayathula)
seri eppo my experience :-
"review" the hot topic of our coll.. the university viva going on for the past 2 days.. as usual project reviews :: aapu.. so all of us were prepared for a major aapu from the panel members.. especially my batchmate was very much tensed after a small incident that happened on the day of our review(yesterday). v 3 (3 per team for a project) were havin our lunch in the canteen and and some of our friends joined. they narrated their experience wit the external. then v started our usual kalais and the decibel level increased. wen it reached the maximum one of my batch mate said "hey shhhhhhhhh external is on the next table and we are yet to complete our review..". none of us spoke thereafter..
we went to lab and were waitin for our batch to be called. all of us were expecting a major aaaaaaaapu after this canteen incident. And thanks to Murphy's law, our review went on very smoothly. the external dint even realise we were the ppl shouting in the canteen.. i came out and thot "Murphy's law really works and for the 1st time it has given a +ve result" :)
now applying Murphy's law to Murphy's law, one more experience :-
today i went to guindy and my mom asked me to get "kapi podi" on the way. i thot i'l get it while returning home. then Murphy reminded me about his law. i thot Murphy's law wil work and i'l not be able to get it on my return journey("wat if the shop is closed for lunch??"). this time murphy's law worked on my expectation about Murphy's law. that is i expected the Murphy's law wil workout, but it din.. the shop was open on my return journey also.. [fuzzy logic is better i guess ;)]
"cha i wud have got it on the return journey itself.. [d'oh]". i din want to carry the "kapi podi" to guindy but Murphy made me carry..
finally i realized "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. ".. :((

"things that are supposed to happen will happen and those which are not destined to happen will never happen"
@ arun kumar -> hey this is kinda contradictory and sorta agreeing with murphy's..
